Colliding and Collaborating with the Collision Conference
Forbes has called it America's fastest growing tech conference and we're inclined to agree! We got to spend two days with the wonderful community that is Collision, providing home-style meals to intimate speaking sessions at one of our favorite corporate event partners, Launch Pad.
At Launch Pad, we spent two days with Port City Pantry where Chef Mia showcases small batch baking that can instantaneously take you back to home-cooked childhood memories in just one bite. You can guess we were extremely excited to have her on board with us for both full days.
The first day Chef Mia created a delectable pastry spread for breakfast for 70 guests to enjoy while hearing insights from industry experts. Blueberry turnovers, strawberry danishes, cheddar cheese and ham scones, olive oil cake with almond, lemon poppyseed bread, and biscuits with a choose-your-own-adventure assortment of spreads. It was a buttery good time for everyone, including us of course!
While seminars and group work were underway, people intermittently stopped for breakfast and enjoyed the rare chance to see incredibly delicious homemade-style food brought to a corporate event. Everyone loved her food, and since she was working in an open kitchen so everyone got to see her prep. It can be so informal and cold to simply provide food for an event that just sits out over time, so we were happy to provide a more experiential element by having Chef Mia prepare her food for everyone to see and experience.
The second day, we hosted Port City Pantry for a private event at Launch Pad for a private corporation hosting 50 guests with 5 or so speakers presenting their start up companies, each featuring a pretty technologically advanced product or concept. We worked with Mia from Porty CIty Pantry to provide a brunch buffet with sweet potato hash, house-made pork maple sausage, herb and cheese frittata, and flaky buttermilk biscuits. For true southern flair there was also a bloody mary and mimosa bar to add boozy fun to the sessions.
All in all it was tow wonderful days of house-made goods with local ingredient for up and coming tech start ups coming to speak with the team at Collision. Thank you so much to Collision and Launch Pad for the memorable experience!
