OUR STORY

My House Events was conceptualized in 2012 in the New Orleans home of founder Barrie Schwartz. Schwartz began hosting a variety of pop ups showcasing local chef talent which quickly gained a cult following. My House Events’s roots were founded at Schwartz’s home, hence My House Events was born. A home represents something we make our own and to this day this sentiment is at the heart of the company. 

In 2013 Barrie Schwartz met her now business partner, Danielle Lee, on an opportune flight where the duo bonded over their shared love of food, chefs, and event planning. After planning her own wedding, Lee brought her firsthand wedding planning expertise to the company and My House Events quickly began to dominate the field.

My House Events is now a known leader in the event planning and catering space, actively changing the way events are viewed in New Orleans and nationwide. My House Events executes all events, large or small, with a holistic approach that is unmatched.
