My House Events Partner Series - 1
Chefs David T. Hargrove & Byron Bradley of 2 Brothers 1 Love
We value all of the chefs, nonprofits, and partners that we work with and want YOU to know them better. Now more than ever, we feel like it’s time to shine even more of a spotlight on our chef ecosystem and amazing partners. Our chefs and partners are at the forefront of what we do and are the face to the client, but why not learn a little more about them and their businesses.
Meet Chefs David & Byron!
Chefs David and Byron of 2 Brothers 1 Love (@2brothers1love) offer nutritious simple meals based on contemporary Creole Cuisine - we absolutely love this. Living in the thick of classic New Orleans dishes, which we also love, it’s refreshing to see a new approach, served with so much passion. They say, “our journey of taste starts in Louisiana goes through the Caribbean with African roots on an American palate, turning “Soul Food into Food For The Soul.” We’re excited to continue partnering with 2 Brothers 1 Love as part of our chef ecosystem and hope to introduce their cuisine to untapped markets.
What was your inspiration for starting?
David and I met at a local garden we both supported. Within our first conversation we learned quickly that we shared a common interest in food and how it could be used as a tool to inspire change in many ways. 2Brithers1Love started as a pop up company. An avenue for David and I to express our culinary artistry and also use our platform to try and educate our guest. Weather the lesson came from information about certain ingredients in our dishes to sharing the history of the dish itself. We also used these pop ups to merge traditional African cuisine with commonly known ingredients and methods in an attempt to expose the connection between what has been inspired from African cuisine.
How have you/your business shifted during COVID?
Since COVID we have shifted our focus on reprograming the way we can serve our guest in regards to new standards of safety. We also have taken this time to focus on our craft of food and rebranding.
