COVID-19 & Our Mission

new orleans spring 2020 was supposed to be our busiest season yet. we’re now faced with a new normal - the COVID-19 relief scene…

but we’re ready to take it on.

Now, more than ever we've felt our mission’s importance come to life, which is to create economic and creative work opportunities for our chefs that not only gives back to the individual chefs, but impacts the larger culinary community as a whole.

Small businesses need this now more then ever. We’re geared up and ready to help in any way we can.

Here are some of our efforts:

We teamed up with Chefs Brigade to feed local first responders by creating all female chef brigade. To us, it’s so important to feed our local heroes and to continue giving opportunities to local businesses.

It’s our mission to make sure women & people of color owned businesses are included in this opportunity to get involved in the community.

We’ll keep adding more chefs and advocating that the opportunities existing during this time are inclusive.

Additionally, we ensured to work with chefs to donate any product that couldn’t be used for postponed spring weddings.

This here is a whole lot of fish donated by 1000 Figs to Second Harvest Food Bank.

In case you missed it, check out this podcast that we co-produced with Oyster Sunday called We'll be Right Back: The Future of Hospitality.
